Lessons

Every voice lesson is tailored to each student's needs. Through carefully chosen repertoire, and objective focused exercises, students explore sustainable technique, body awareness, preparation strategies for constancy, all with an evidence based approach. 

Her students have:

• Been accepted to Yong Siew Toh Conservatory, Juilliard, Manhattan School of Music, San Fransisco Conservatory, Indiana University, Northwestern University, Oberlin College, Royal Northern College of Music, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Lasalle College of the Arts, AMDA, Steps on Broadway, Trinity Laban Conservatoire, Tring Park School for the performing Arts, and Arts Educational School, London.
• Performed in professional musical theatre shows such as The Sound of Music, Edward Scissorhands (West End), Miss Saigon (AU & Asia tour), Evita and Cinderella, Wicked Part I (Film 2024). 
• Recorded for Sony, Avex, and numerous TV commercials

Akiko is a full-member of NATS and Performing Arts Medicine Singapore 

At Lasalle College of the Arts, Akiko teaches Song Repertoire modules, ensemble singing, singing technique, and vocal coaches the main productions for the BA(Hon) Musical Theatre programme. 

She continues to teach a wide range of students at Singapore's Arts school, SOTA in her 11th year. 

Akiko also serves as the Artistic Director in charge of professional development at The Voice Company, a boutique singing school in Singapore nurturing the next generation of singers.
